GOING BACK and RELATION first editions are going to go out of stock this con season, and I don’t have any plans to reprint them. I love the books but they were handmade in such an intense way, that if I were to reprint them, the second editions wouldn’t be the same. I was trying really hard to remember the name of those “naughty, guilt-ridden, pocket-sized” zines/books of the old days but the name eludes me, google is not helping and my bookmarks are a mess.
Do you mean The Tijuana Bibles? The website is here (very NSFW). They’re small pornographic zines starring fan-favorite characters (superheroes, cartoon characters). They’re little gems from the past.
I actually wasn’t referring to them, or anything specifically, however. I was referring to Moleskine Notebooks as the aesthetic inspiration for the final book design, but for the actual content, it’s my own concoction. If I was feeling cheeky I’d refer to the genre as Philosophical Erotica.
